What is SLAA?

SLAA is an association of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with the aim of solving their common problem of sex and/or love addiction by helping other addicts to recover. The desire to end your addictive behaviour is the only condition for membership. SLAA aims to be completely free of charge and works entirely thanks to the contribution of its members.

Sobriety and “bottom lines” in SLAA

There isn’t a single definition of sobriety in SLAA, as the form that emotional and sexual addiction takes vary widely among individuals. Each member identifies, with the help of the SLAA program, the form of their addiction and becomes "sober" when they refrain from acting out these so-called “bottom line” behaviours.

Bottom line behaviours are all sexual or emotional acts which, once initiated, lead to a loss of control over how frequently or for how long they happen. They lead to increasingly serious self-destructive consequences. Staying away from these behaviours is the definition of our sobriety.

How do I attend a meeting?

You don’t need to book or register in advance and meetings are free of charge. The only requirement for membership is a desire to recover from sex and love addiction. We would suggest however that you arrive a few minutes early for your first meeting so that we can welcome you properly. Below you can find the list of meetings in Brussels.
